Louttit Named Chief Investment Officer/Principal at Fairmount Properties

Cleveland, OH – Fairmount Properties, the Cleveland-based mixed-use real estate development/management firm, has announced that Eric J. Louttit will join the firm in early April as chief investment officer/principal.

Louttit, formerly senior vice president of development at Forest City Realty Trust, brings a deep background of commercial real estate development experience to his new position at Fairmount Properties.  At Forest City, he was responsible for identifying and executing development/ redevelopment opportunities within the company’s portfolio. Earlier in his 16-year tenure at Forest City, Mr. Louttit worked with university and public sector clients, as well as in Finance, securing both debt and equity and other forms of capital for new and existing commercial real estate projects. Initial Office Tenants Signed for Pinecrest Alliance Prime Associates, Continental Heritage Insurance Co. and Tower 7 Partnership LLC to locate at Pinecrest

CLEVELAND, OH  The office component at Pinecrest, the exciting new mixed-use shopping/dining/entertainment/office/hotel/residential district under construction on Harvard Road at I-271 in Orange Village, has landed its initial office tenants. Alliance Prime Associates, along with Continental Heritage Insurance Company and Tower 7 Partnership, LLC will be relocating their headquarters offices to Pinecrest when it opens in spring 2018.The companies are leasing a collective 15,000 SF on the fourth floor in one of the two office buildings that are a part of the project. The announcement was made today by Fairmount Properties, Pinecrest’s developer. 

Longtime insurance executive Joseph E. LoConti is the president of Alliance Prime and the founder of the LoConti family office, including Tower 7 Partnership LLC, which are financiers of numerous start-up endeavors, private equity and real estate transactions. Continental Heritage is a Treasury-listed insurance carrier specializing in surety and emerging property and casualty markets with an A- rating by AM Best.

Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn opening stores at Pinecrest development in Orange Village

ORANGE, OHIO -- Specialty retailers Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn have announced plans to open stores at Pinecrest, the $230 million mixed-use development opening in spring 2018 at Harvard Road and I-271 in Orange Village.

Williams-Sonoma will sell culinary and kitchen essentials from a 6,500-square-foot store that will also offer classes, recipes, entertaining ideas and techniques, and seasonal menus. Williams-Sonoma also has stores at Beachwood LaPlace and at South Park Center in Strongsville.

Pottery Barn, which sells casual home furnishings and accessories, is opening a 12,000-square-foot store that will also offer complimentary design services, wedding registry and in-store classes. Pottery Barn also has a store at Beachwood Place Mall.

Just as a reminder, I'm going to rattle off the names of a few recently opened restaurants: Mabel's BBQ, Coastal Taco, Salt, Ushabu, 811, The Plum, Sarita, Bold, Vita Urbana, Hansa Brewery, Nuevo Modern Mexican, Proper Pig, Goldhorn Brewery, Parker's Downtown and The Burnham.

These are just some of the restaurants that have opened in the past year, which themselves joined scores of new eateries that have debuted in Greater Cleveland over the past couple years. If you think we're going to start seeing a slowdown moving forward, you would be wrong; the number of restaurants that are in the planning stages and set to open their doors over the coming weeks and months is equally impressive.

Laura of Pembroke to Expand in Cleveland Area

Jackson Twp. – Laura of Pembroke is looking forward to having a second location open early in 2018 in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland.

The local retailer has signed on with Fairmount Properties to open a second store at Pinecrest, a 58-acre mixed-use development under construction off Interstate 271 at the Harvard Road interchange in Orange. The $230 million project includes 400,000 square feet of retail space, along with office space, a hotel and apartments.

"We're happy to be part of Pinecrest," said Lauren Bosworth, a member of the family that owns and operates the women's fashion and home furnishings store.

Orange Village, Ohio — Fairmount Properties and DiGeronimo Cos. have announced new tenants to join Pinecrest, a 58-acre mixed-use development located in Orange Village, Ohio.

Newly announced tenants include Laura of Pembroke, Vineyard Vines and Orangetheory Fitness. Previously announced tenants — all set to open in spring 2018 — include Pinstripes, Silverspot Cinemas, Whole Foods Market, REI, West Elm, Vernacular, City Works Restaurant and Pourhouse, RED - The Steakhouse, Firebird’s Woodfired Grill, Fusian, Restore Cold Pressed, Flipside, Bibibop, Allure Nail Spa and TD Ameritrade.

The $230 million project, at completion, will feature 400,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and green space; 87 high-end luxury apartments; 150,000 square feet of Class A office space; a 145-room hotel; and a one-acre public plaza. 

Pinecrest gives behind the scenes look at massive project

Orange Village, Ohio - Village officials got a behind the fence tour late last week of the $230 million, 58-acre Pincrest mixed-use development under construction at 27349 Harvard Rd. The event was held in a heated tent on a rainy day in the middle of the active construction site which developers say is the largest active project currently underway in Ohio.

On a quick tour of the 700,000 sq. ft. development, Fairmount Properties principal, Randy Ruttenberg, described it as "a very complex construction site."

"We have multiple buildings going up at once and up to 150 workers plying different trades simultaneously."

Last week, the developers behind Pinecrest, the $230 million mixed-use lifestyle district near the I-271 and Harvard Road exchange in Orange Village, announced some of the tenants that would gobble up all those new retail, office, luxury apartment and a hotel square feet.

Orange, Ohio – The developers behind the $230 million Pinecrest project, in Orange village east of Cleveland, announced a crop of new retail tenants Thursday evening, during a gathering designed to showcase construction progress at the 57.5-acre site.

Preppy clothing store Vineyard Vines headlines the list of new shops to sign on at the mixed-use development, which is now scheduled to open in spring 2018. Other newcomers on the apparel side are Vernacular, a central Ohio women's clothing and accessories retailer; and Laura of Pembroke, a Canton store that also sells home furnishings.
